About AfriConnect Zambia Ltd AfriConnect Ltd. is an Internet service provider, the leading supplier of high-speed wireless broadband internet services in Zambia. Their main activities are: iConnect broadband internet service iConnect is AfriConnect’s main product for providing wireless broadband Internet connectivity. We are able to provide connectivity to any facility throughout Zambia however, the costs, technology and timeline for delivery may vary depending on location and how the connectivity is used. We can currently deliver our regular iConnect service to within 30km of the following areas: Lusaka, Livingstone, Choma, Kitwe, Ndola, Solwezi, Namwala, Kabwe and Mongu. Many other Provincial and District capitals will be online before the end of the year. Rural and Portable Connectivity AfriConnect can set up direct satellite access with a small 1.2 KUBand or CBand VSAT dish. In very remote rural area SMS information services AfriConnect’s iSMS team offers text-messaging services from entertainment to development and health projects. Examples include ‘push’ services (e.g. a clinic sending text messages in bulk to many patients) and ‘pull’ services (e.g. a rural farmer requesting information about commodity prices from a central database).
